Essential Airport Information

Visa on Arrival

Most nationalities can get visa on arrival: $30 single entry, $45 double entry. The KAZA UniVisa ($50) covers Zimbabwe and Zambia and is available at Victoria Falls Airport. SADC citizens may be visa-free. See our visa requirements page.

Currency

The US Dollar (USD) is the primary currency in Zimbabwe. The Zimbabwe Gold (ZiG) is the local currency. Bring clean USD bills, especially small denominations ($1, $5, $10) for tips and daily purchases. Cards accepted at major establishments.

SIM Cards

Econet has the best coverage. SIM cards cost $1 with affordable data plans. EcoCash (mobile money) is widely used. Register at airport kiosks with your passport.

Transport

Pre-arrange hotel transfers at all airports. Uber and Bolt have very limited availability in Zimbabwe. Registered airport taxis are available but negotiate fares in advance.
