How to Apply for a Zimbabwe Passport — Step-by-Step
1 Download and Complete the Application Form

2 Gather Required Documents
- Zimbabwe national ID card (original + copy)
- Birth certificate (first-time applicants)
- Current or expired passport (for renewals — you will surrender it)
- 2 passport-sized photographs (35mm x 45mm, white background, taken within 6 months)
- Proof of legal residence abroad (visa, BRP, utility bill)
- Application fee: $150 (all ages)
For children under 16: Also bring the child's birth certificate, both parents' IDs, and a consent letter from the absent parent if only one parent is applying.
3 Book an Appointment at Your Nearest Embassy
Contact your nearest Zimbabwe embassy or consulate to schedule an appointment. Walk-ins may be accepted but appointments are strongly recommended.
